360km long Shanon river is one of the largest river in Ireland. In Athlone it flows through the middle of the town & provides a fantastic view from the Burgess park. The park and the shopping mall Golden Island next to it are the landmarks of the town.

Our apartment was right across Golden Island. On a fine evening as the golden hour was approaching I observed the sky was clear and beautiful. It was around 8pm and I went out with my tripod, came back home around 11pm. Here are some long exposure photos.
