Ring of Kerry – Day 1


The Ring of Kerry is a stunning 179 km scenic drive in County Kerry. We began our journey in Athlone and arrived in Killarney before noon. It is a charming town bustling with tourists. After lunch, we headed to Killarney National Park. With so much to see in this huge 100km2 park, picking up a cycle is the best option.

From there, we visited Ross Castle and then proceeded to the magnificent Muckross House. Both the house and its surroundings are impeccably maintained. It’s easy to spend hours exploring the area and enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. There are many beautiful gardens which explains the the flower photos below.

As the last destination for the day we visited Torc waterfall which is just after Muckross house.
