We went on a weekend trip to Mararikulam beach. We took the coastal highway from Kochi, stopped at Kumbalangi, and took a detour to get some local backwater views. Then, we stopped at Chellanam to see the new walkway.

At Marari, we stayed at Deshadan’s Tarangi Beach Villas, which was very close to the beach. Unlike many other beaches in Kerala, this is one of the few that is not very crowded.

My kids thoroughly enjoyed the evening and morning on the beach. On the way back, we went to Fort Kochi to get a glimpse of the Kochi Biennale and were surprised to see the type of art creations people from across the country make.
