Kuttikanam

A well deserved family holiday to Kuttikanam, around 2Hrs drive from my home-town Pala. The weather was clear after rains, fortunate for me to get some good photos.

From Pala we drove towards Kanjirappally & Mundakayam crossing many Rubber plantations. Took a quick stop at the view points near Peruvanthanam where I captured these photos.

From there we headed towards Paruthumpara, also known as suicide point. I wonder how can one commit suicide at such a beautiful place, its a soothing treat for your eyes. The scene there was quite dramatic, dark cloudy on one side and clear blue sky on the other. I didn’t miss to capture both.

By evening we reached D’heavenly mist resort at Kuttikkanam. I had been there for an overnight stay with friends sometime back and liked the location. The place is remote, about 4KMs from the main road but will take about 20-30mins to reach as the roads are not well maintained. The resort is not that great for their food & service, however the location is really nice. So I will not recommend for families, but a good option for hanging out with friends. There are about 8 independent spacious cottages. The resort is spread across few acres of land on an isolated hill so you can enjoy walking around.

The morning sun rise was amazing with mists all around the place. There is a viewpoint at one end of the hill for which you need to climb about 15 feet (by stairs) and enjoy the breathtaking view of surrounding hills covered under clouds and mists. I must say the view was indeed magical with a breath of fresh air !!!
