Previous day I visited Kumarakom and halted in Kottayam in my sister’s place.

Morning I started from Kottayam towards Kollam. After driving through NH 47 for sometime, I could see the Arabian sea parallel to the road on my right side. Randomly stopped at a point and was lucky to found this small hidden beach. Except this small portion the sea was blocked with seawalls to protect the residents staying there.

Further on the highway I crossed a bridge over the Ashatamdi lake. Towards the right side I could see the lake joining the Arabian sea. I took a U turn and went interiors to get better views of the lake. But some roads were closed due to covid restrictions.

Finally reached Kollam in my cousin’s house. Got a magnificent of the city, which is close to the sea, from the terrace of their high rise apartment.
